Chili Con Carne Pizza

A simple, quick topping for a delicious Mexican variation of pizza

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

150 g lean ground beef
1 tbsp MAGGI Chili Sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp crushed garlic
1/3 cup tomato sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup cooked red kidney beans
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup thinly sliced red bell pepper
2 pcs 10-inch pizza crust
1 cup grated cheese
1 240g tub NESTLÉ Sour Cream

HERE'S HOW:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Sauté ground beef in pan with MAGGI Chilli Sauce, onion, and garlic, stirring frequently for 3 minutes or until beef changes color.
  3. Add tomato sauce, sugar, salt, beans, tomatoes, and red bell pepper. Cook for about 15 minutes or until beef is tender.
  4. Spoon meat mixture over pizza crusts.
  5. Sprinkle grated cheese.
  6. Cook in oven for 10 minutes or until cheese melts.
  7. Remove from oven and drizzle NESTLÉ Sour Cream to top.

Mushroom and Veggies Pizza

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1/2 cup pizza sauce*
2 medium (10-inch) frozen pizza crusts (thaw before using)
1 can (184grams) Century Tuna Red Label Chunks in Vegetable Oil, drained
1/4 cup sliced tomatoes
1/4 cup white onion rings
1/4 sliced green bell pepper
1/4 cup sliced button mushrooms
1 cup shredded mozzarella or quickmelt cheese
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves (or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sweet Basil leaves)
2 tablespoons olive oil
*Pizza Sauce Recipe (prepare ahead):
2 tablespoons olive oil | 1 teaspoon ground oregano
1 teaspoon minced garlic | 1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons tomato paste | 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce | 1 tablespoon sugar

HERE'S HOW:
  1. Heat olive oil. Saute garlic. 
  2. Add tomato paste and tomato sauce. 
  3. Season with oregano, salt, pepper and sugar. 
  4. Cover and allow to simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes. 
  5. Remove from heat. 
  6. Cool slightly before suing. 
Note- *Sauce may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or up to 6 months if frozen.


Makes 2 pizzas.

Vegetable Pizza

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
1/2 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon olive oil, divided
1 (12-inch) pre-baked pizza crust
1/3 cup light cream cheese with chives and onions
2 cups shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese, divided
1 cup spinach, chopped
3 tablespoons pine nuts, toasted
1 large tomato, peeled, sliced

HERE'S HOW:
  1. Preheat oven to 350º F. Place red pepper, broccoli, and onion in a shallow 15x10-inch baking pan. Toss vegetables with 1 tablespoon olive oil and spread out in a single layer. Bake, about 20 to 25 minutes or until tender and lightly browned. Drain any juices and discard.
  2. Brush pizza crust with remaining 1 teaspoon olive oil. Spread cream cheese over pizza crust. Layer 1 cup mozzarella cheese over cream cheese; top with roasted vegetables. Top with spinach, pine nuts, remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese and tomato slices. Increase oven temperature to 425º F.
  3. Place pizza crust directly on oven rack or on a pizza pan. Bake for 12 minutes. Cut into wedges and serve.

Rainbow Pizza

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:1 pouch (115 g) DEL MONTE Sweet Style Pizza Sauce
1 pc (12”) French bread (baguette), sliced diagonally into 14 pieces
2 pc (100 g) hotdog, cooked and diced
1/3 cup coarsely grated carrot
4 tbsp cheese spread
2 tbsp snipped parsley *
1 pc egg, hard boiled and cut into thin strips
6 thin slices quickmelt cheese, cut into strips

HERE'S HOW:

  1. SPREAD DEL MONTE Pizza Sauce over bread. Top with hotdog. Set aside.
  2. MIX carrot with half of cheese spread, then mix remaining half with parsley. Alternately pipe onto bread carrot-cheese spread, parsley-cheese spread, egg, and cheese strips.
  3. BAKE or toast for 2 minutes or until cheese melts.
Serves 7

Pizza Pouches

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 pc small onion, chopped
200 g chicken breast, boiled and meat diced (about 1 cup)
1 pc small green bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup canned button mushrooms, sliced
1 pouch (115 g) DEL MONTE Sweet Style Pizza Sauce
18 pc mini-monay or dinner rolls
1/2 cup grated cheese

HERE'S HOW:

  1. PREHEAT oven at 350ºF.
  2. SAUTÉ garlic, onion and chicken for 5 minutes. Add bell pepper, mushrooms, DEL MONTE Pizza Sauce and ½ tsp iodized fine salt (or 1-1/2 tsp iodized rock salt). Simmer for 2 minutes. Set aside.
  3. CUT top portion of each bread to make a 1” diameter hole. Remove the crumbs from the cut portion leaving the center top hollow. Arrange onto tray and bake for 5 minutes
  4. FILL each bread “cup” with 1 tbsp of sautéed mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for another 5 minutes.

Grilled Sandwich Pizza

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1 pack (500 g) sliced bread
2 pouches (115 g each) DEL MONTE Sweet Style Pizza Sauce
100 g quickmelt cheese, sliced thinly into 16 pieces
2 pc eggs, beaten
1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted

HERE'S HOW:

  1. SPREAD 8 pieces of sliced bread with 1 tbsp each of DEL MONTE Pizza Sauce. Top each with 2 slices of cheese. Cover with another slice of bread. Set aside.
  2. COMBINE remaining DEL MONTE Pizza Sauce with egg and 1/8 tsp iodized fine salt (or dash of iodized rock salt). Mix well. Dip bread (do not soak) in pizza sauce mixture. Grill in pan with 1/2 tbsp margarine or butter until light brown. Flip to cook other side. Cut diagonally into 2.

Serves 8

Egg-Sausage Pizza

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
8 pc large pan de sal, halved
1 pouch (115g) DEL MONTE Sweet Style Pizza Sauce
150 grams longganisa, removed from casing
10 cloves garlic, crushed and fried until brown
1 pc salted egg, sliced
2 tbsp coarsely grated quickmelt cheese

HERE'S HOW:

  1. PREHEAT oven at 350ºF.
  2. SAUTÉ longganisa until cooked. Drain excess oil. Spread pan de sal with DEL MONTE Pizza Sauce. Top with remaining ingredients. Bake until cheese melts.

Serves 8

BLT Pizza

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
3 pc small pizza crusts
1 pouch (115 g) DEL MONTE Sweet Style Pizza Sauce
250 g bacon, cut into wide strips and fried until crisp
100 g tomatoes, seeded and cut into rings
50 g lettuce, shredded
100 g quickmelt cheese, grated

HERE'S HOW:

  1. PREHEAT oven to 450°F.
  2. SPREAD DEL MONTE Pizza Sauce over crusts. Top with bacon, tomatoes and cheese. Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
  3. REMOVE from the oven and top with lettuce. Slice and serve.

Serves 12

Sardine Pizza

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
8 slices wheat /plain bread
1 can (155 g) Spanish Sardines, drained and flaked
1 pouch (115 g)
DEL MONTE Classic Italian Pizza Sauce
1/2 cup grated cheese
2 tbsp chopped parsley

HERE'S HOW:
  1. TOAST both sides of bread in oven toaster/ skillet/pan for 4 minutes. Spread with 1 tbsp of DEL MONTE Pizza Sauce on each slice.
  2. TOP with flaked sardines. Sprinkle with grated cheese and parsley. Toast/ heat ( or use oven or turbo broiler) until cheese melts.

Servings 8
