Ubod Ng Niyog Guisado

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc medium onion, chopped
300 g ubod ng niyog, cut into small cubes
1 can (227 g)
DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce
1/4 cup water
1-1/2 tsp sugar

HERE'S HOW:

  1. SAUTÉ garlic and onion. Add the rest of the ingredients. Season with 1 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1 tbsp iodized rock salt). Simmer for about 12 minutes or until ubod is tender.
Serves 4

TOKWA SAUTÉ

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
6 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc large onion, sliced
100 g chicken breast fillet, diced or ground
1 pc small green bell pepper, cut into strips
1 pc siling labuyo
1 pouch (200 g)
DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce
350 g tokwa (or tofu), cubed

HERE'S HOW:

  1. SAUTÉ garlic, onion, chicken and bell pepper in 2 tbsp oil. Add 1-1/2 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1-1/2 tbsp iodized rock salt), 2-1/2 tsp sugar, siling labuyo, 1/2 cup water and DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes over low heat.
  2. ADD tokwa and cook for 10 more minutes.
Serves 6

Tilapia Steak

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
3 pc (700 g) large tilapia, filleted (reserve bones and heads)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup DEL MONTE Instant Marinade Beef Steak and Tapa
8 cloves garlic, crushed and fried until brown
1 stalk green onion, chopped

HERE'S HOW:

  1. MARINATE fish including bones and heads in DEL MONTE Marinade for 30 minutes. Drain, but reserve marinade.
  2. COAT fish including bones, with flour and deep-fry each piece until golden brown. Return fish fillet to the bone to make into whole fish. Arrange on a platter. Set aside.
  3. SIMMER marinade for 2 minutes. Pour over fish. Top with garlic and green onions.
Serves 6

SAUTÉED MONGGO BEANS

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:2 cups green monggo beans
2 squares tokwa (or tofu), cut into strips then fried
10 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc medium onion, sliced
1 pouch (200 g)
DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce
2 cups rice washing
1 cup ampalaya tops

HERE'S HOW:

  1. BOIL monggo in 4 – 5 cups water until tender. Set aside.
  2. SAUTÉ garlic and onion. Add DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce, monggo, rice washing and salt to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. ADD tokwa and ampalaya tops. Allow to simmer.
Serves 8

Rice de Luxe

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1 pc egg, beaten
7 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc small onion, chopped
100 g pork pigue, cut into strips
125 g chicken giblets, cut into cubes
3/4 cup chicharo
130 g sayote, cut into cubes
1 pc small red bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 pouch (250 g)
DEL MONTE Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce
3-2/3 cups cooked rice

HERE'S HOW:
  1. COOK egg as in omelette. Cut into strips and set aside.
  2. SAUTÉ garlic, onion, pork and chicken giblets. Add 1 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1 tbsp iodized rock salt), 1-1/2 tsp sugar and 1/8 tsp pepper. Add vegetables and DEL MONTE Spaghetti Sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. ADD cooked rice. Blend thoroughly. Top with egg strips before serving.


Serves 5

QUICK PORK AND VEGGIE SAUTÉ

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc small onion, sliced
1/4 kg pork pigue, cut into chunks
1 pc pork bouillon cube
1 pouch (250 g)
DEL MONTE Filipino Style Tomato Sauce
150 g carrot, sliced
1/4 kg cabbage, sliced

HERE'S HOW:


  1. SAUTÉ garlic, onion, pork and bouillon cube. Add DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce, 1/2 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/2 tbsp iodized rock salt) and 1 cup water. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  2. ADD carrot and simmer for 5 minutes. Add cabbage then simmer for 3 minutes.
Serves 6

PIÑA KANGKONG

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:6 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc medium onion, sliced
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 can (234 g)
DEL MONTE Fresh Cut Pineapple Tidbits, drained (reserve syrup)
3 bunches kangkong, leaves and tender stalks only
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

HERE'S HOW:

  1. SAUTÉ half of garlic until brown. Set aside.
  2. SAUTÉ remaining garlic and onion. Add 2 tbsp soy sauce, oyster sauce, pineapple syrup, 1/8 tsp pepper and kangkong. Simmer until almost cooked. Add DEL MONTE Fresh Cut Pineapple Tidbits. Simmer once. Top with sesame seeds and fried garlic.
Serves 6

Oriental Tofu and Mushrooms

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 pc medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup tengang daga (mushroom), soaked in water then sliced
1 can (365g)
DEL MONTE Spaghetti Meat Sauce
3 squares (350 g) tokwa (or tofu), fried and cut into chunks
1 pc medium red bell pepper, cut into cubes



HERE'S HOW:
  1. Saute garlic, onion and tengang daga. Add DEL MONTE Spaghetti Meat Sauce, 1/4 cup water, 1/2 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/2 tbsp iodized rock salt) and 1/4 tsp pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Add tokwa and bell pepper. Allow to simmer.

Servings: 5

Nuggets Casserole

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
CHICKEN NUGGETS :
200 g ground chicken
1 pc (70 g) small tokwa mashed
50 g carrot coarsely grated
1 pc small onion chopped
1 pc egg beaten
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
½ tsp iodized fine salt (or ½ tbsp iodized rock salt)
¼ tsp pepper

SAUCE:
3 cloves garlic crushed
1 pc small onion chopped
1 pc pork bouillon cube
½ cup canned button mushrooms, sliced
1 pc small red bell pepper cut into cubes
1 pouch (200 g) DEL MONTE Filipino Style Tomato Sauce
1 cup water
1 pc medium potato, cut into wide strips and deep-fried

HERE'S HOW:

  1. Combine ingredients for chicken nuggets. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Transfer into greased square pan/ tray. Chill for 10 minutes. Cut into 1-1/2” square to make 18 pieces. Using spatula, dip each cut piece into egg then coat with breadcrumbs. Deep-fry until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. For the sauce, sauté garlic, onion, bouillon cube and mushrooms for 2 minutes. Add bell pepper, DEL MONTE Filipino Style Tomato Sauce, water, and salt to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in potatoes then pour over chicken.

Servings: 6

Hotdog Casserole

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1/4 kg regular hotdog, cut into 1/2” diagonal slices
1 pc large onion, sliced
1 pouch (200 g)
DEL MONTE Sweet Spicy Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup whole corn kernels
100 g Baguio beans, sliced diagonally


HERE'S HOW:
  1. Saute hotdog and onion in 2 tbsp oil. Add DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce, 1/2 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/2 tbsp iodized rock salt) and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
  2. Add 1/4 cup water, corn and Baguio beans. Cook until vegetables are tender.
Servings: 6

Fish Menudo

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1/2 kg labahita, filleted and cut into 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” cubes
3/4 tbsp calamansi juice
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc small onion, chopped
150 g potatoes, cut into cubes
100 g carrot, cut into cubes
1 pouch (115 g) DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce
1/4 cup cooked/frozen green peas
1 pc small red bell pepper, cut into strips

HERE'S HOW:

  1. Marinate labahita in 1-1/3 tsp soy sauce, 1/8 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/2 tbsp rock salt), calamansi juice and 1/4 tsp pepper for 30 minutes. Fry until brown. Set aside.
  2. Saute garlic and onion. Add potatoes, carrot, DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce and 1/4 cup water. Simmer until vegetables are cooked. Add green peas, bell pepper and 1/3 tsp iodized fine salt or (1/3 tbsp iodized rock salt). Add fish. Simmer for 3 minutes.

Servings: 4

Chicken Meat Rolls

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1/4 kg ground chicken meat
1 can (140 g) Vienna sausage, chopped
1 pc small onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1/2 cup DEL MONTE Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce
1 pc egg
1 pc small carrot, coarsely grated
2 slices pan Americano, cut into cubes
1/4 cup raisins


HERE'S HOW:

  1. Combine all ingredients with 3/4 tsp iodized fine salt (or 2-1/4 tsp iodized rock salt) and 1/4 tsp pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Wrap every 3/4 cup of mixture in aluminium foil. Roll. Steam for 1 hour. Cool and chill overnight. Unwrap and slice.

Servings: 6

Chicken Guisado

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1/2 kg chicken, cut into serving portions
1 tbsp calamansi juice
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc medium onion, sliced
1 pc medium singkamas, cut into cubes
1 pouch (250 g) DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce
100 g chicharo
1 pc medium red bell pepper, cut into strips
4 stalks green onions, cut into strips


HERE'S HOW:

  1. Marinate chicken in 2 tbsp soy sauce, calamansi juice and 1/3 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1 tsp iodized rock salt) for 30 minutes. Fry until brown.
  2. Saute garlic, onion and singkamas. Add chicken, DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce and 1/2 cup water. Season with 1 tsp soy sauce, 1/3 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1 tsp iodized rock salt )and 1/4 tsp pepper. Simmer until meat is tender.
  3. Add chicharo and bell peppers. Simmer until vegetables are cooked.

Servings: 6

Beans Con Carne

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc medium onion, sliced
200 g ground pork
1 pouch (200 g)
DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce
3 bunches (350 g) sitaw, cut into 2” long pieces


HERE'S HOW:
  1. Saute garlic, onion and pork. Add 1/2 to 1 cup water, DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce, 1/2 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/2 tbsp iodized rock salt) and 1/8 tsp pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Add sitaw then simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
Servings: 6

Bangus en Tocho

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1 pc (1/2 kg) medium bangus, cleaned and sliced into 6
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc medium onion, sliced
1 tbsp ginger strips
1 can (140 g) DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce
1 cube (65 g) tahure, liquid removed
1 square (70 g) tokwa (or tofu)
2 stalks kinchay, cut 1” long (1/4 cup)

HERE'S HOW:

  1. Sprinkle bangus slices with 1/2 tsp iodized rock salt. Fry in oil until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Saute garlic, onion and ginger. Pour in DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce and 1 cup water. Stir.
  3. Mash tahure and tokwa together into smaller pieces. Add to the sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add fried bangus and simmer for another 5 minutes. Add kinchay.

Servings: 6

Beef Ampalaya With Sotanghon

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:1/4 kg ampalaya, seeded and sliced thinly
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc medium onion, sliced
150 g beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
1 pc beef bouillon cube
1 pouch (200 grams) DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce
50 g sotanghon, cut into shorter strands


HERE'S HOW:
  1. Prepare brine solution by mixing 1 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1 tbsp iodized rock salt) with 1-1/2 cups water. Soak ampalaya in brine solution for 10 minutes. Squeeze and set aside.
  2. Saute garlic, onion and beef. Add bouillon cube, DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce, 1 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/2 tbsp iodized rock salt) and 1-1/2 cups water. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add sotanghon and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add ampalaya and cook for 3 minutes or until tender.
Servings: 7
